WRITING.

A note: Writing is, without a doubt, the hardest thing I’ve ever done yet still feel compelled to do. I believe writing is like that for most authors–a two-faced affliction that won’t put us down, even as we cosplay as bartenders and office administrators and farm workers (all positions I’ve held in the past six years). Oh, the world begs of us money and attention to various matters–some truly urgent; most not–yet we’re yanked back to blank pages, to blinking cursors, to words, words, words. For me, the writing muse is a fickle mistress (I would say “cruel” except I fear she’s listening now); one I pray to worship properly enough that she’ll continue to visit me regularly. I think, secretly, if I feed her enough coffee and kombucha and sleep just the right amount, she’ll stay forever and I’ll never again have to suffer the pain of writing sentences that just don't feel quite right. Anyway, now that I’ve shared far more about my writing-feels than is likely wise for the Internet, the links below are to stories I have published in years’ past. The beloved visitor of my website will also note the list of unlinked/unpublished (but shortlisted!) stories there, too. Without further ado:
